Participants will learn how to use a mapping platform developed by NYPL that allows users to stretch historical maps over contemporary maps and trace maps into downloadable/feedable datasets. The maps generated by workshop participants will be publicly available from the libraries website, www.maps.nypl.org, and can be used as downloadable shapefiles, csv, kml, and/or georss. RSVP required. For more information visit the NYPL website at http://www.nypl.org/locations/tid/36/node/94893?lref=36%252Fcalendar
